There is about one
doctor to every ten thousand people in Uganda. Compared to Australia which has
one doctor to every four hundred. Due to poverty and lack of education to train
the doctors this means that Uganda is unable to provide qualified doctors and
healthcare professionals. Since the people in Uganda are living under the
poverty line they can’t afford to pay for a medical school or medical
assistance. People don’t have access to many basic provisions and so this medical help is
vital. So due to the lack of doctors many people in Uganda get sick and get no medication
and in some cases die.
